At the 2018 edition of Orgatec, EMU is presenting its new relaxation seating system Tami, by Patrick Norguet, designed to fit numerous user requirements. The base consists of a platform with an aluminium structure and slats of Bamboo WPC, an innovative, eco-friendly and completely recyclable material, designed for outdoor use. Tami has the ability to adapt to various situations, as it can be transformed from a simple sofa to a central element in a space with a simple movement of the hand. By adding arms and backrests, the chairs are ready to relax in; if all these elements are removed from the base, it turns into a comfortable, informal, multi-purpose work surface, perfect for co-working lounge areas.
The Riviera collection of steel chairs, designed by Lucidi/Pevere, features a sophisticated, minimal graphic design; a retro inspiration brought up-to-date thanks to the use of modern materials and processing techniques. The fine, spidery design allows the chairs to fit perfectly into the space and stylishly personalise meeting rooms and lounge areas.
Minimalist and with a big personality are the steel collections designed for EMU by Florent Coirier. Miky is inspired by the bistro chairs and redesigned with a modern touch, with clean, clear lines and generous shapes, whereas the brightly coloured Mom features a soft, wrap-around structure. Robust and stackable, Miky and Mom are designed to provide young, dynamic furniture, which effortlessly adapts to various uses and situations.
Displaying maximum versatility is the innovative collection of tables in the Table System, designed by the company’s Research Centre in response to the needs of the Contract sector; a wide range of round, square and rectangular tables, with folding and fixed tops, featuring different frames to blend naturally with any environment and match any of EMU’s chairs.
The collections Terramare and Cone, both by the Studio Chiaramonte/Marin, complete the exhibition area. Offering a complete range of furniture, Terramare is a collection, whose distinctive feature lies in its mix of materials. The tables and armchairs have an aluminium structure, which makes them light and easy to handle; the seat and backrest are made of eco-friendly leather, to elegantly and informally furnish meeting rooms and co-working areas. The Cone outdoor lamps are inspired by the lampshades of the 50s, brought up-to-date thanks to the use of innovative materials. Five different proposals, including three with rechargeable batteries, to give a touch of originality both indoors and outdoors, thanks also to the coloured shades, which allow the lamps to be “dressed” according to the mood of the surroundings.
